Artist Kamea Hadar’s work is larger than life. Literally.
Kamea began studying drawing and painting from a young age, taking classes at the Honolulu Art Academy and University of Hawai’i. He then spent periods living, studying and creating at the Sorbonne in Paris, University of St. Louis in Madrid and the University of Tel Aviv, Israel.
As the Co-Lead Director and Founder of POW! WOW! Worldwide, Kamea has painted murals and installations in cities across the world. He has worked with brands such as Billabong and Sony and his portfolio spans over 50 murals in the past decade. One of his most notable pieces includes a 155-ft tall mural of surf legends Carissa Moore and Duke Kahanamoku in Downtown Honolulu.
When it comes to Kamea’s work and mindset, there’s no such thing as too big.
